On Friday 15 May it was a lovely balmy evening and 9 brave couples joined the Imago Africa team for a wild experiment to have a Dialogue date on Zoom.
We started with a centering process focusing on re-awakening their connection with one another and re-awakening their commitment to dialogue.
Unexpectedly there were 4 “virgin” couples who had never experienced dialogue before and they were delighted to find they could engage in their own private zoom room with a dedicated facilitator.
The other 5 couples also had their own private zoom rooms and could request help from a facilitator at any time.
Couples engaged in a beautiful appreciation dialogue including what they are grateful for in their partner and what this reminded them of in their childhood. The feedback was very touching and couples shared that they experienced tender connection and loved the encouragement and support from the team. What was greatly appreciated was the level of confidentiality that was achieved despite being on Zoom.
Some virgin couples have already made contact with me and the session ignited curiosity and interest.
There were many learnings and some helpful technical suggestions.
What is clear is that we will do more! With Imago there is always more …
