You already know it!\u00a0 Life changed overnight. With the arrival of the most unwanted, uninvited and unwelcome guest called COVID 19, we are all forced to be part of the &#8220;Corona Affair\u201d as I call it.<\/p>\n<p>Contemplating where I am in all of this, I remembered Joseph Campbell\u2019s book: \u201cThe Hero with a Thousand Faces\u201d, and all the fuzziness disappeared, replaced with a transcending clarity. I know where I am and where we all are\u2026<\/p>\n<p>We are all heroes on a personal journey&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We are all heroes on a collective journey&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Even though we are uncertain of the future, we can be certain that this is our heroic journey!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe hero\u2019s journey always begins with the call. One way or another, a guide must come to say, \u2018Look you\u2019re in Sleepy Land. Wake. Come on a trip. There is a whole aspect of your consciousness, your being, that\u2019s not been touched.\u00a0 So you\u2019re home here? Well, there is not enough of you there.\u2019 And so it starts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dare I say that Corona has come to be our guide!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is what I would call the hero journey, the night journey, the hero quest, where the individual is going to bring forth in his life something that was never beheld before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What I know, is that we are all on this new path together, where this journey gifts us with adventure, where welearn, where we conquer, where we transcend and where we experience victory. May we all be transformed!<\/p>\n<p>With this introduction, I want to take you on the Imago Africa Board Journey,\u00a0 briefly looking at the past and then invite you to envision with me the journey going forward.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>LOOKING BACK<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This past year has been an incredible journey, one with many highlights:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attending the Imago Conference in Vienna (May 2019), with no less than ten delegates from Southern Africa!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7044 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.imagoafrica.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/South-African-Attendees-Imago-2019_viena-conference-300x146.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"318\" height=\"155\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Making new friends along the path:\u00a0 Meeting Prof Vera Roos from Optentia Research Focus Area, Faculty of Humanities at the North-West University (Vaal Triangle), has ignited a research journey where some of our very own are participating in the first trans-disciplinary post-graduate qualification in South Africa with a dedicated focus on relationships.\u00a0 In addition, others are enrolled in a PhD program at the Daybreak University in California, USA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7078 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.imagoafrica.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Vera-Alleen_-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" \/><\/p>\n<p
