Insisting that couples spend three full days with their partner allows the fulfillment of their deep desire for closeness and attentiveness.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike many couples workshops which concentrate on relationship problems and relationship problem-solving skills, and which approach this subject cognitively, Hedy and Yumi\u2019s is <strong>highly experiential and utilizes time efficiently<\/strong> to allow couples to experience \u2013 for many for the first time in a long time \u2013 the closeness they so long for.<\/p>\n<p>By the end of the workshop, it becomes evident that Hedy and Yumi have created a <strong>powerful means for dealing<\/strong> with couples\u2019 deep longing for closeness, safety, and connection. They have developed a workshop that is aimed at \u201cunraveling the survival knot\u201d where one partner&#8217;s \u201cfrozen need\u201d meets the other\u2019s \u201cdenied need,\u201d and where one person\u2019s desperation meets the other\u2019s defences. It is what keeps the couple emotionally separate. It is where the life energy in their relationship is blocked.<\/p>\n<p>It is where the life energy in their relationship is blocked.
