My psychotherapeutic experience stretch over more than 20 years of working with individuals and couples in private practice. I only recently (2014) completed my clinical training in <strong>Imago Relationship Therapy<\/strong> under the experienced guidance and training of Kobus van der Merwe.<\/p>\n<p>As humans we have been well trained in the skill of \u201cmonologue\u201d \u2013 when one person is talking but no one is really listening. The <strong>Dialogue process<\/strong> which is a tool used in Imago Therapy has opened up a whole new way in my therapeutic approach with couples.<\/p>\n<p>Dialogue is used to teach couples the skill of good and effective listening and it is a structured way to facilitate <strong>safety and connection<\/strong> \u2013 the two important ingredients that can help couples heal and grow.
